Citrus Cream Pots

Here is a light, simple Gourmet, after dinner dessert that is sure to be a crowd pleaser. This is a must try!

Citrus Cream Pots
3 ½  cups heavy cream
The juice and zest of 2 lemons
The juice and zest of 1 large orange
2 tsp. vanilla
1 ½  cups sugar
Sliced fruit from either, peaches, plums or apricots
Whipped cream for garnish

In a saucepan:  Combine the heavy cream with the citrus zest and heat until scalded (just before it boils).

Remove from heat and stir in sugar, lemon juice and orange juice until incorporated into the mixture. Stir well.  This will begin to set the cream.  Let cool.

Pour into individual glasses with the sliced fresh fruit of your choice. Depending on the size of your serving glasses, you may not need very many slices. Let set in the refrigerator for 3 hours.

Garnish with whipped cream on top and or nuts.

Serves 4-6
